I've camped with Dave four times now, for SpringFest
and MagFest both. The first time was with my son who was only 6 at
the time. I was a nervous wreck, attending my first large festival
in years, with a little kid to boot. Dave took care of everything imaginable,
and his imagination is better than mine! In emails and phone calls
pre-event, Dave calmed all my worries. Once we got there, he made me
and my son feel perfectly at home in the camp site, and everything was perfect. Coming back each time is
like coming home to family! I'm an archeologist; I have all my own
gear and have camped on my own for a living. But on festival
weekends, I don't want to have to give my camp a second thought. I
know when I pull into camp, everything is exactly as it should be.
Dave's set-ups are first rate - everything from the "carpeted"
floors to the custom-sewn sleeping bag liners (Thanks Lynn! very smooth -
I love them!) to the solar showers that he fills (and hoists!) for me with
hot water from his camp stove. Oh, and his camp kitchens?
Everything's there! That's the best part about Dave's camps -
everything you can think of is provided in top quality and tip-top
condition. "I just had to drop you a line to let you know how pleased I was with your camping service at the Suwannee Springfest. Because I had to fly to the festival, I couldn't take my camping gear. And because the on-site camping at the festival really makes the festival special, I was glad to find your camping service.Your equipment was all top quality and clean, and all set up and ready for me when I arrived. What really surprised me was the great location of your camp. Count me in for the next festival, please!" Dave Ebben; Attorney, Real Estate Magnate, and GuitaristRhinelander, Wisconsin "MagnoliaFest 2003 was my first encounter with "Dancin' Dave", and what a great pleasure it was. When I and my wife, Patty, and our friends arrived to our campsite, EVERYTHING was ready for us to enjoy four wonderful days of music. Other than cook and start the fire, Dancin' Dave took care of every little detail.......a comfortable tent, cot and bedding, complete with lantern (and even earplugs.....we were just opposite the main stage) demonstrated his attention to detail. The complete kitchen served our every need when it came to cooking and the shower was only a few steps from our tent. If you ever want enjoy the luxury of carefree and hassle-free camping where all you need to do is show up, enjoy the music and atmosphere of the festival, and then drive away once you have packed up your own gear, DANCIN' DAVE IS YOUR GUY! DANCIN' DAVE...........WHERE RUSTIC AND THE RITZ MEET!" John D. WilkesExecutive Director Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall 777 N. Tamiami Trail Sarasota, FL 34236
"I can't imagine a MerleFest without Dancin'
Dave! He's been our outfitter for as long as we've been coming - I
guess that's 4 or 5 years now. It's not that we don't have our own
camping gear - it's just not as nice as what Dave brings. Plus not
having to set up - or, more importantly, tear down - especially in the
rain - that's wonderful. And we actually have room in our car to
bring food and instruments. The kids get their own tent and we get
to sleep on cots - a luxury we only have once a year camping. To top
it all off - he's a really nice guy. He takes extra care to make
sure you have everything you need and takes care of any problem that might
come up. We look forward to seeing him every year!"
"I traveled to Merlefest from the UK,
and upon arriving at Dancin'Dave's River's Edge campsite I was given
a warm welcome and shown to a neat, tidy, and very comfortable tent
with a bed and blankets and offered any help I needed.
